Opening 13th March
The company has been asked by Battersea Arts Centre to remount its critically acclaimed show THE HOT ZONE which performs from Tuesday 12th March to Sunday 25th (see tour dates and info).
Conspirators’ Kitchen is looking to develop an educational piece for 2008 with the highly talented writer Gurpreet Bhatti.
In the Spring of 2008 the company is looking to produce and tour its new show, provisionally entitled INSIDE JOB, which is currently in research and development stage.
The company has already developed and work shopped a new play DISTORTION which it is looking to possibly produce.
The company is committed to promoting Asian designers, producers, stage managers, photographers because within this sphere of theatre, there is a gross under representation of ethnic minority practitioners. Conspirator’s Kitchen rejects all notions that theatre is somehow “terribly complicated” and the un-initiated need not apply. The company believes theatre is for everyone and should be accessible to everyone. It holds the simple view that the best way to learn about the theatre is to actually work in the theatre. It aims to change the perception held by many young British Asians that theatre has nothing to do with them, or possibly even worse, that their role within theatre is that of the “passive spectator” or “tabla player”.
